Few Questions about virus's in memory blocks
« on: October 20, 2011, 10:23:42 PM »
New to the forums here names Josh hello,

I have a few questions about a recent scan I just did 3 were found in the memory blocks.

Lowest was Avastsvc.exe which popped up twice
And Highest threat known as Jusched.exe

The two avast ones are PUP status's
The jusched is Threat:Win32-MalwareGen

Reason I'm asking questions about these is because it won't let me remove them from my pc.

Thanks in advance!
Josh

Since they are not files...but a process...you cant move a process to chest, so button is gray

do NOT use the "scan memory" setting as this will give some strange scan results....usually signatures from other security programs installed
the forum is full of this if you search

if you do not know what you are doing i recomend using the default quick/full scan with default scan settings

I do a very thorough scan daily
not necesarry as avast have a fileshield that runs in the background scanning every file that moves at all time (all AV do that)
so a quick scan a week is plenty....if/when something is detected, then you can do a full scan...but do not use "scan memory" setting
