win32:trojan-gen.(upx!)

Help. This little guy keeps popping up even after I have put it in the chest and or deleted it,
The file name is
C:\alexeyman.chm\d_alexeyman.exe.
The VPS is  0447-0
I have seen other win32:trojen-gen on the forum but none of them have ended in (upx!)
Also when I try to delete the message error occured during file deleting.
I am a little new to this but any help would be appreciated.

First make sure your avast is upto date and then if your on Win NT/XP/2000 try doing a boot time scan with avast, that should take care of it.

Thank You Lee for such a quick response. As I said I am really new at this and I am sorry if this sounds like a very silly question. But what is a "Boot Time Scan"  Also I did check and I am up to date with Avast and every thing else on this machine including Spybot and Adaware.

I have just found and run the boot scan and that  that little guy is still there. win32:trojen-gen.(upx!)  Is there any thing else that I can do about it?

Hi Karyn,

- reboot to SafeMode (repeatedly press F8 while booting), then Run a thorough scan with avast, included archive Scanning, and MOVE the file to avast chest

if this doesn't help, please work through the link "VirusRemoval" below in my sig. and
- post a hijackthis-Log here
- report what OnlineScanners have to say on the file, e.g. KAV & RAV
