A Quick question
« on: November 16, 2004, 05:29:08 AM »
i just want the Avast to get rid of the virus in my email without asking.
I open up access protection chose mail and standard
go to advanced, chose silent, and then chose (yes) for default to delete?
I would assume chosing no would cancel the action and leave it alone,
where i want to just delete it without being bothered
Correct?

Hi there

I not a Avast biggie...but you have answered your question.

Also to say that Avast virus program will actually scan the email with a file and let you know , but the way you are going to set it up you should not see anything.

If you have show detailed on performed action checked in Avast; it will show actually what is being scanned and wether it has a virus attached to the email.
If you do not want anything to show that emails are being scanned then don't have the box checked for -
"show detailed on performed action".  Check box for - "silent mode" with yes.

I don't have the link off hand ...but I know Vlk, or Igor know where the link is.

No  :(. Choosing the answer 'No' in Silent Mode will send the file to Chest.
