crash when scanning

When I scan files my computer goes to black and reboots. The last folder I noticed it scanning was windows/driver cache. It also crashes when running a spybot scan.

So, if you stop avast! On-access protection and then run spybot scan, you still get the crash? If yes, I'd say it has nothing to do with avast. You may try to run a disk error-check - maybe there's a problem with your disk?
