Hi Jonas,

since you were not able to report the false positive using the app, could you please report it here so we can fix it? Please provide the name of the application that is detected incorrectly and also the name of the virus that is reported.

Thanks,
Peter

It should work fine; is there any other message (possibly in notification bar) or can you see the progress? Could you please advice your avast! mobile version? Thank you very much for cooperation.

"Please provide the name of the application that is detected incorrectly and also the name of the virus that is reported."
=> I don't see any virus name. Just the following message :
"Read permission has been denied to the avast! virus scanner."

"is there any other message (possibly in notification bar) or can you see the progress?"
=> No, I don't see anything particular. Just the orange A in notification bar and the number 2 in a green circle.

"Could you please advice your avast! mobile version?"
=> Current version 11206-02.
I clicked on "Check for updates now" and it says "You have the latest version".

Hope this help.

Ok, now the number in green circle means, that you have two or more notifications from avast! application; could you please open the notification bar and check which messages are there? It should be something like "Upload faild, try again..". Thanks..

Thank you for the detailed info. It seems the false positive is the same issue as described here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=90015.0 . As Vlk said in that thread, this will be fixed in the next beta refresh.

- I click/touch on the orange A.
- It shows "Report upload failed, Press to try again" and on the right "and 2 more..."
- I click on it
- It shows the window "Report false positive"
- I fill the description and email field
- I click "Send 0.8MB"
- It shows on the notification bar "Uploading report"
- And 2 or 3 seconds later, it show on the notification bar "Report upload failed"

I tried with 3G and then Wi-fi connection (and I can browse the Internet with any app) but the report upload still don't work.

Ok, sorry. I did a search for "failed" keyword on the main topic (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=89990.msg0) but I found nothing.

Hi,
I have a similar issue. Avast! found a problem with the Heavens Above (donate) app. Said it had been denied access. Pretty confident it's a false positive as it was installed from the market last week after a factory reset. The upload of the report to avast! fails every time.
Rgds,
Andy

Hello, I also am unable to report false positives.
The two apps that I have detected are:
Pinout which is a wiring diagram for different connections.
Drinktini 3.0 which is an online library app for getting drink recipes.

They both return that "Read permission had been denied to the avast! virus scanner."
