Hi Filip,

I think we found the source of this issue. The lagging should be gone in the next version (hopefully) :)

thanks for the update! As soon as it is published I will inform our users to update and report back here.

Regarding the problem with the avast! Market, the user told me that he will upgrade to ICS soon anyway. If it is still happening under this OS version (which seems unlikely) I will open a different topic on this one.

Thanks for your efforts!

Is your phone rooted? If not, it's not possible.

Well... I think you already double checked the settings for this particular application...

There is also another Tool in the play store called droidwall and this also dont work for me with 3g blocking. Maybe a Android 4 Problem?

That might be the case, but I would be really surprised. I will check, but might take a while till we can try on the Galaxy Nexus itself.

About the firewall:
1. Is it inbound protection? Or only outbound?
2. By the way, is there an inbound possibility of access for the mobile platform? Are non-rooted phones blocked by themselves?
3. Will we see a traffic statistics count soon? Can we set a limit to bandwidth usage before warning the user?

1+2 - I will ping Reinhard to answer.
3 - Can't disclose whether or when that might be, sorry.

Thanks.
I've saw in Google Play that some firewall tools do that. So my suggestion.

hi,

1) its outbound
2) no there is not much danger from the outside. all phones have dynamic ips and are behind operator firewall

I read that the traffic monitor from ICS could be the reason for the "nonworking" firewall.
I have set a 500mb limit and read that if i disable this service the firewall works.
I dont have my smartphone here to check if its true. But if its true that would be a bad thing
cause the traffic monitor feature from ICS is really great and i strongly need this feature to check my limit.
I hope you can change it and get both to work :)

I also found a script for Droidwall, but i don´t get it to work. But maybe its helpfull.

$IPTABLES -D OUTPUT -j droidwall
$IPTABLES -I OUTPUT 2 -j droidwall
