Filip, working here on Galaxy Nexus 4.0.4 Google factory.
Curiosity: why didn't the upgrade occur automatically and requires to be manually started?

I think that we needed to add a new permission for the new SMS block offer feature so that's probably why the update had to be manual.

Given that this topic was started almost a year ago, that AMS program update would have been long gone and superseded.

As far as I'm aware I have the latest version (see my signature).

Hi,

you need to have approximately 100kB of phone memory for virus database file. I think that your device won't let you install any new apps if you are below some threshold, usually at least 10MB so you should be fine.

I installed AMS (minus Anti-theft) on my new Nexus 7 tablet and so far, so good.  It's updating automatically and working fine.

Can the AV be tested by downloading the EICAR file?

Hi,

yes, although at the moment I think that it will be caught only when performing manual SD card scan.

But you can download an "eicar" app from Google Play and that should be caught the same way any other malware would be.
