unable to install rooted anti-theft on Xperia X8

I have downloaded and installed Avast Mobile Security for android on my X8 and it works great except for the anti-theft which I cannot install as a rooted installation. I have tried every way available the direct method and the recovery method both types edify and amend methods and all say permission denied.

So can anyone help me and tell me how to install this as a rooted installation?

If i cannot install it as a rooted installation it seems a bit pointless does it not because a thief could not wipe the application and anti-theft away

That is a good question, but it would appear not because I have managed to install anti-theft as an unrooted installation but I am not 100% sure.

You have to root your device first to use the rooted features (like firewall or rooted Anti-Theft module). If you want to do this, try searching the Internet, I'm sure there will be plenty guides for your device.
