Avast Screensaver scanner
« on: December 12, 2004, 10:02:29 AM »
Good morning! (well here it is morning)  ;)

I have a little question regarding the Avast Screensaver Scanner. (a good feature in my opinion)

Is it a full virusscan it performs or just a quick scan? (like all exe, com,... files)

Are the files fixed?  I mean, there is an option you can enable: "lus scannen" (I use Dutch version) which means the scanner continues all the time scanning files even when it is finished. Does it rescan thesame files after finished the first time, or does it pick files random.

just something I wanted to know :)

greetings

After all files are scanned, Avast starts all over again.

When not all files are scanned (when the screensaver is interupted) it starts the next time where it left off the last time.

Well i really appricate avast screen saver..that i have not seen any other anit-virus products so far.It good for thoses people who is really busy and don't even find time to scan manually.Coz i do have a friend like that ::)
So it is really nessary to do a regular scan?,coz even avast screensaver does the full system scan. ???Does it do auto matic deletion, cleaning or moving to chest dring the screensaver time.?

That is for you to decide. We don't know:
How often the screensaver is running and how long.
How many data you have to scan.
What the speed of your system is.
What your browsing behaviour is.
What your download/install behaviour is.
What other security you have installed/set.
etc etc etc

So it is really up to you to decide.
