3.0.3 version of safari beta....anyone know the security changes on the update ??? ;)
this is all the apple link above had and all i could find at the present time....
Changes in Safari 3.0.3 for Windows beta:
Latest security updates
Improved stability

A while back, Tucows was known as one of the internet's top sources for downloadable freeware and shareware. But if you kind of forgot about Tucows, what with Download.com, FileHippo, and hundreds of other download sites out there, you're probably not alone.
Well, this week Tucows launched a major new site design that highlight's a new focus: solutions. You can still find and download boatloads of great software from Tucows. But the web page now prominently features a solutions center with advice for everything from what software to use when setting up a blog or website to instructions on how to use BitTorrent.
There's also a social aspect to the new design. Registered users can vote articles up or down and popular articles are featured on the front page.
Tucows has been publishing these articles for a while now. In fact, many of them are written by Download Squad alum Jordan Running who left our humble blog earlier this year to become a resident expert over at Tucows. It's nice to see the site give these excellent tutorials and explanations a more prominent place on the home page.

Did you ever hesitate to leave your laptop for a few minutes in a public space like a library? Afraid that someone will take your laptop? Laptop Alarm will ring a loud alarm whenever someone tries to steal your laptop. When the laptop is disconnected from AC-power (someone pulls the AC adapter plug out) the alarm will go off. The alarm will ring when someone tries to log off or shut down your laptop to take it with him and it's FREE ;D this program not the laptop someone is trying to steal ??? ::) :D

http://www.syfer.nl/download.html
its works-put on my hp laptop and locked the computer and did the start-turn off computer normal routine and the alarm went off and it is LOUD :o

From Bits From Bill  http://billpstudios.blogspot.com/2007/08/winpatrol-2007-version-12.html
I am very pleased with the feedback I’ve received from everyone who helped test the newest version of WinPatrol. The new version is officially available today.
Everyone seems to really like our new Scotty icon. The last time I tried to change the main icon there was a rebellion of sorts. All our Vista users are glad that Scotty has his voice back.
I’ve had the most feedback about the new HijackPatrol log which is now available on the Options tab. This new informational feature isn’t intended to replace any other program but provides WinPatrol information in a familiar format. Based on the feedback from testers I’ve included additional information in our log like File Type Associations and Hidden file locations.
All the new reports are available to both Free and Plus users although access to PLUS information has been improved and is available with a single click. Version 12 carries on our goal of helping everyone answer the question, “What the heck is running on my computer, where did it come from and what is it doing?”

What's New
New Scotty Icon
Two New Report Options
+++HijackPatrol Log+++ ;)
SpreadSheet Log
Easy Access to PLUS Info
PLUS Requests updated for future expansion

Bug Fixes:
Fix size bug in autodetection of Explorer/Run/Policy autostart entry
Auto correct screen position errors on multiple monitor systems when registry has been corrupted.
Local flag sent for any country code and not just ones currently supported
Secret Startup location checkbox now available immediately after entering PLUS name/code.
Found solution to why Scotty's bark was silent in Vista.
Fixed bug reading large HOST, WinPatrol History and Netscape Cookie files
To download version 12, go to http://www.winpatrol.com/upgrade.html

one reason why me and many others have used this program for years-it's Great-in a different league then some of those crapware programs out there-it's been proven and tested and always has came out on top..

http://robotgenius.net/technology/rgguard.jsp
Robot Genius today announced the availability of its new anti-malware download/plug-in, RGguard. RGguard is a web browser plug-in that protects users from all types of malware including spyware, adware, rootkits and other malicious programs on the web. RGguard knows not just the domain, but also the full path URL that points to each instance of malware. The exactness of the alerts reduces false positives keeping restricted sites to a minimum, and also keeps 'noisy' security alerts to a minimum.
Key Benefits
* Lightweight and unobtrusive, works with all browsers. * Zero-day threat protection against all types of malware.
* A powerful, fully automated method for blocking links to malware and warning users of URLs containing malicious executables.
* Virtually no impact on system performance or system resources.
* Exactness of alerts reduces false positives keeping restricted sites to a minimum, and also keeps ‘noisy’ security alerts to a minimum.

<snip other marketing hype>

I have to say when I see this kind of generalisation in marketing blurb my tongue moves firmly against my cheek.

There is absolutely no way 'any' product can give this king of assurance, "protects users from all types of malware."

This also makes me wince "RGguard knows not just the domain, but also the full path URL that points to each instance of malware." This is patently rubbish how can they possibly have the URL for every possibly piece of malware.

I would also have doubts about the product when the grammar of the marketing hype is also flawed.

You also find that it doesn't work with firefox despite their claim to work with all browsers, there they go again with that (works with or detects) all (or every) claim only to apply limitations ("Requirements: Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher; Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or higher").

When I see marketing hype like this I wouldn't give it the time of day much less publish it. Do a google search for this product and you will see it is basically the same marketing hype and you have been caught up in it by perpetuating it.

I bet they can't believe all this free publicity for a product that has just been released.
