As far I know, it was always eligible and the user could chose not to install it. Am I wrong?

At the same time it is almost impossible now to get automatic updates for version 2.3 and the developers say nothing about it. If you read posts at ST's forum you'll see that they either ignore old-version's users or accuse them of false complaining.

Hallo malware fighters,A new version of the DrWeb's av link checker has been launched: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/938Hope this one is better, because loads of malware is being launched (silently) through websites.Best protection however is running Firefox with NoScript extension installed and activated. Haven't heard of anything circumventing this in-browser cop... Get it from here...https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722polonus
