Thanks Alan, interestingly I have just checked for add-on updates and nothing for TabMixPlus, I don't know if this is because I tried the developers version TMP 0.3.7.4pre.090516 that you suggested or not. I just got an error in checking, see image. Looks like a manual installation will be required.

Exactly the same for me, David.  It's because the developer's version we were using doesn't properly check for updates.  The official version does.
