SNIP> "Shortly after I updated to WinPatrol V33.6.2015.16, I noticed that after Windows restart that a few tray items were missing"

Noticed that as well.
Not normal for WinPatrol ??? ???
Synaptics function, HP Simple Pass and couple others I've noticed
Bill is gone, Bret is in charge... Hope this is an isolated incident.
Never nice when this happens but, it can happen to everyone.  :'(

Yes it can

Probably for many agreed, however I keep a count of 'startup enties' and noticed right off that some were missing. The issue was figuring out which ones.
Took a little time.

OT:- I didn't do July image backup after I've install the MS update patch sooner, never mind I kept an image backup of June man I worried about WinPatrol since Bill is gone.

Any way let all get back to UPDATES topic ;) while I'll try and keep my cool ::)

I also installed the latest WinPatrol version and then noticed items missing from my startup list in "System Configuration". I had a suspicion that it was due to the new WP version, and decided to do a system restore.
Now I see everyone else has the same issue.
I wonder if it corrupted anything else in addition to the startup items in the registry.
I guess I'll just be doing a system restore and stay content with the older stable version (In this case, the saying "If it's not broken don't fix it" comes to mind).

Greetz, Red.

I think something like this should warrant an announcement somehow via email/Winpatrol Web page
I personally haven't found anything on the Website. :-\

I think it's something you should let Bret at Winpatrol know about. I'm sure it isn't anything Avast would be doing. :)

Pale Moon 25.6

  http://www.palemoon.org/palemoon-win32.shtml

Release Notes

  http://www.palemoon.org/releasenotes.shtml

This is very interesting :

"Canvas anti-fingerprinting option: Pale Moon now includes the option to make canvas fingerprinting much more difficult. By setting the about:config preference canvas.poisondata to true, any data read back from canvas surfaces will be "poisoned" with humanly-imperceptible data changes. By default this is off, because it has a large performance impact on the routines reading this data."

You are sure ?

I just updated to V33.6.2015.17 and immediately noticed that 2 items listed in Scheduled Tasks 1.0 are missing now.
I also posted about it on LandzDown forum http://www.landzdown.com/winpatrol-help-information/winpatrol-v33-6-2015-16-is-available/msg178123/#msg178123
