Inserting picture, photos etc in email.

Hi, I have Avast Home edition 4.5.
Why is it that when I want to insert a picture, photo etc into my email message, most times it cannot send it.  It says that the smpt server could not be reached. But I can send emails with attacments at the same time though, no problems at all.
Before I had Avast it worked too but both times I have installed Avast this is what happened.
Any ideas please?

Hello Pipi and welcome to the forums. I'm not sure what your problem could be at this point as I have no problem sending even large pictures. Perhaps if you could give more information about your system someone may be able to help you. Info should include OS, past av used, installed ram, etc.

I think I have sorted it now, I undid a couple of ticks in the outgoing mail settings.
here's hoping anyway! I shall be back if it goes wrong again.
