Is there any specific reason you are considering this ?
Given that avast does a rootkit scan 8 minutes after boot and a lower sensitivity rootkit scan as part of the predefined on-demand scans, then this shouldn't be necessary unless you suspect you have a rootkit.
If so what makes you think that you have a rootkit ?
