i have the same problem. but its weird on my end because if i double click the program. it brings up a "you cant access, may not have the appropriate permissions" sort of error, and avast doesn't detect the so called "infection" but when i right click it. it detects it. is that a bug of some sort?

Happened to me, and I panicked because of an earlier but horrendous FP I got (14 rootkits, after definitions were updated and hundreds of scans from different programs were run I found out my laptop was safe.) so now I'm in a boot-time scan, just to make sure there's nothing else…

Can corrupt ZIP files do any harm? I always find a couple of those in my boot-time scans.

this is not a detection......just a avast error message, no more no less
files that can not be scanned are just that, it does not mean they are infected
