Thanks for your minidump, this bug (in copy file routine) was already fixed, but the patch is available only for new installations. Would you mind to reinstall avast? The patch will be automatically downloaded & applied just at the end of the installation. Thanks.
-
So you mean to redownload the avast! and install it again and it will be solve? all of my old settings will be keep?
Will this fix will be included on the next version of avast! ?
-
The fix is already in the current version as PK said.
No, your settings will not be preserved, but you can back them up before deleting the current installation.
-
The fastest way is to export settings (from UI), redownload avast and install it again (to verify the patch was applied, \windows\system32\aswmonflt.sys should be from Jan 2015, not from Nov 2014). The fix will be also included in next avast version.
-
Well i did this " redownload avast and install it again (to verify the patch was applied, \windows\system32\aswmonflt.sys should be from Jan 2015, not from Nov 2014)." but the .sys file still saying that 4 dec 2014 why?
-
mmm, patch should be updated automatically only for 2208 build (are you using this build?)
I saw from your minidump your aswMonFlt.sys version was from: Nov 06 13:53:07 2014 (now it's from Dec, better, but not perfect :) )
-
Yes i am using the 2208 and now and before the reinstall but i don't know what happens any solution ?

Ok i did this progress now how can i see if the progress was success and i have the new .sys file?
-
As it was a fresh install the patch will have been applied. Have you since experienced the BSOD
-
right click the file > properties
-
Also i found 2 issues when i was making this progress.
1. When i select X from the program setup installer and then i reopen it it says to reboot to run it again, the question here is why need reboot to run it again if i select cancel to an program setup installation before?
2. When i reload my user settings to the new reinstalled program the "Registration" button did not disappeared from the program (as i am already registered and logged in), and when i click into the Account tab it still saying me to log in... and when i log in again the "Registration" button did not disappear.

@westor: thanks for your feedback, I'll forward it to our team. As for patch update, I just installed pro version (from this page: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=159528.msg1147357#msg1147357) and when I check aswmonflt.sys in \system32\drivers folder, it was updated properly (digital signature shows Jan 2015, right-click on .sys file and choose properties)

Okay, thanks all for your help and support since now (5+ days) this blue screen problem did not appeared again.

Please edit your original post so the title reads (Solved) Blue Screen when using AVAST!
Thanks. Glad your problem is solved.
-
same problem here : aswmonflt.sys is dated 6 nov 2014 after installation of avast pro
the BSOD problem remains and aswmonflt.sys seems to be culprit
any suggestion to solve this problem?

Welcome to the forum. :)
I suggest you re-read essexboy's directions, do a clean install and see if that fixes the problem.
If not, then start your own topic with a full description of your problem along with the information
about your system and the security programs installed on your system.
-
dear bob
