NEW: Passwords - Avast can now manage your passwords and generate strong passwords for you. Just one password to remember.
- checks your passwords security
- stores your passwords securely
- includes browser extensions for easier logging in and form filling
- generates strong passwords
So EasyPass will be discontinued with v.2016? LOL, I still have almost 3Y of licence left and it seems with v.2016 it will be useless ;D Will it be able to import all passwords from EasyPass?
Known issues:
...
- “Shielded Window” mode in SafeZone browser doesn't work yet.
Avast Free online setup does not let user uncheck SafeZone browser.Confirmed. Thank you.
@Bob3160:The strange thing is that on a different computer, the update through the UI worked like a charm.
Installer worked fine for me :/
That confirms this is an official Bug hunt :)
Wow, this Beta really came as a surprise for me :)
As I have to make some preparations first, I will take a look at it in the weekend.Known issues:
...
- “Shielded Window” mode in SafeZone browser doesn't work yet.
I guess this is the "SafeMode" for dangerous websites, so you can run them on a separate browser in a Virtual Machine ?
At least that was the description I got earlier.
Greetz, Red.
Before I test it, I'd be interested to know which features should work under XP..!?

Avast! Safezone Internet Browser Use too many Process and that is effect my system preformance,Ad blocker of does not block any ad on website on safezone Browser.I check that.Confirmed, but not so much memory; memory usage of each processes is rather small.
@Andrey,Pro: New features will come later (HIPS,Cloud, etc,)Thanks for the info ;) Hope the next beta will be more interesting
Home network security is not working on windows 10. I can't even stop it (Stop button isn't working).
I hate the new UI, this beta is quite poor and boring because there is no any new malware detecting and preventing features. I don't need in Passwords and Safe Zone features at all.
Cautiously optimistic from the windows 10 build 10547 landMulti reboots and shut downs showed no problems :)
Installed OK
No flashy white screen :)
No hang on reboot :)
IE works (yet to test Edge) :)
Shutdown still to test
Scans are still as fast
Safezone appears to work
EDIT : Edge appears to be OK as well
I will now give it a multi-boot/reboot work out :)
Thanks gents
For now only the Main page and sub-pages have changed, the settings are exactly the same than in Avast 2015.All the shortcuts are gone. :(
Its basically the sidebar moved to the top and a new start page for the status, its not that hard to get used to it :)
@Bob3160:I can't even install the Beta. Totally locks up my system. I'm back on the last stable release. :(
Beg them on your knees to get them back :D
I do not know if it's a bug more I installed AVST free and SafeZone browser was enabled for free have a doubt SafeZone browser will be free in avast 2016 obs the sandbox the firewall are not available only the SafeZone browser and the three modules internet files and mail will then be free SafeZone browser in avast 2016
Hi,
Any way to add shortcuts/customise the MAIN gui of avast premier 2016?
if yes, how to do it?
Thanks

Links for downloading the install are dead? Anyone else having problems with this?Links work fine for me (all of them).
The update from 10.4.2xxx went fine but would like to have the download anyway.
SafeZone shortcut on desktop was removed by the update (only issue so far that no one else has reported).

Hi GreenRock :)
Do you know if Avast Passwords will be available on Android, iOS and maybe OS X as well ?
Greetz, Red.
Yes, other platforms will come soon.
As I know, Easy Pass will be discontinued and replaced by Avast Passwords. Licenses should be transferred to use with premium features of Avast Passwords.Yes, other platforms will come soon.
Nice. Just one question left unanswered - current Easy Pass will be discontinued? :)

As it's based on Opera, most probably not. ;)- Optionally, some extensions such as Ad Blocker and Video Downloader (potentially useful as SafeZone doesn't support add-ons for security reasons). Can this Ad Blocker block ads in Microsoft Edge?

Since I've installed this Beta on my 'Laptop A' only, I'm still astonished: did anybody of the Devs had one idea concerning the lot of avast! users, who are behind 70 years old and using '10.4.2233 free'?
I'm coaching seniors since years and can't offer them this product!

Hi dbrisendine,
you mentioned that SafeZone shortcut was removed. Are you using Free or Premium version of the Beta?Links for downloading the install are dead? Anyone else having problems with this?
The update from 10.4.2xxx went fine but would like to have the download anyway.
SafeZone shortcut on desktop was removed by the update (only issue so far that no one else has reported).
Avast Passwords will be free. We will add some premium features, but they aren't ready for beta yet.
You will be able to import your passwords from EasyPass.

Why ?
I was using Internet Security BETA. It installed over the 10.4.223x BETA and went down hill from there. I think that the SecureDNS blocked my wireless adapter custom DNS settings (I use some other than my ISP's). Each reboot of my system made matters worse until I removed the BETA, used the BETA AvastClear and reinstalled the IS BETA. Same results; Internet access blocked (no DNS servers found was the result of the Win10 MS TroubleShooter). Changed to standard DNS settings (Obtain DNS address automatically) with same issue of losing the Internet connectivity. I am using a wireless router hard wired to a bridged ISP modem/router (if this makes any difference to the DNS routing).
Sorry but had to remove the BETA as I have to have Internet access to assist users with malware removal.
Passwords ain't a free product and there are no options to import LastPass Credentials.
Will stick with Lastpass since it Gives Access Any Where function without the need of paying any thing. Can install on Any System any where and just log into your lastpass account and all details are there. Simply.
Was expecting something like that, but well, It just turned out to be EasyPass re named and the price line to too huge compared to the fact that can get all the functions for free with lastpass any way.
Sorry there avast! That was not a nice move. :)Good Looks though. Nice interface on the SecureZone browser and the password manager.
Strange, this old head has no problems and the Seniors I teach are also not having any problems. :)

Avast Passwords with synchronisation across devices will be for free! Forever!
There are going to be premium features, avast will introduce them later. That price you see in market is for premium and honestly I'm not sure if it is final one.
Avast Passwords will offer import from cvs file as it is Easy pass capability so if Last Pass or any other can export your credentials to text file you can just simply modify it to import them into Avast Passwords. This functionality is not yet finished but will be there in final release for sure.
You must be very happy.Strange, this old head has no problems and the Seniors I teach are also not having any problems. :)

As David suggested this should probably be discussed in it's own topic. :)

Hi, so did you try turning SecureD s off? Did that help?
There are no significant changes in the way how SecureDNS works now when compared to the latest official release (10.4).
If turning securedns resolves your problems I'd really like to know more about your dns setup. We might be able to detect such cases and tune Securedns to work in such cases as well.

Creating an Image backup prior to attempting any Beta is always a good idea.
The safe thing to do is to wait till the final version is released. :)
I would have liked to be said with the same words by Asyn here (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=175448.msg1256025#msg1256025)Chris, it was just a suggestion. That's why I wrote "you could try" not "you should try".

Did you do a clean install or install over the top of the existing 10.4.2233 version - that shouldn't require re-registration, it should be recognised ?
Try logging on using your browser at my.avast.com, check the Remember me and don't log out. Now check accessing your avastUI Registration it should show your existing details.

Have you tried an avast Repair because it could be some sort of corruption ?
But it could also be an issue with the registration servers.
Did you try logging on to your existing my.avast.com as I suggested and see if your device is recognised ?
See attached image, you can also use that (little down arrow to access manage accounts, you can login to an existing account (and see if this one is present or or add this one). But I believe using your browser to see your avast account is less complex.
It may also be better to take this out into its own topic (in the beta sub-forum) to avoid it getting buried in this already large topic.
This is getting to be much more of an issue and I do suggest creating a new topic as this is just going to get lost in this already very large topic.
That said, if I use the Add New Account option (as in my attached image above) then I too get the message 'The online content is unavailable.' But if I use the Manage Accounts, it recognises me and the my.avast.com account I'm connected to. If in this screen I can click the Add new account and with that I have a login screen - this I can enter the my.avast.com account I already have.
As I said this whole process would appear to be easier using your browser logged in at my.avast.com..
As I keep mentioning, we really need to take this to its own topic.
Avast blocks its own SafeZone Browser when hardened mode is enabled: http://prntscr.com/8nljicThe same here. ???
great, guess what, one of last XP systems I've under oversight just auto-updated to this beta (wtf)Sounds like the system was on the beta-channel then.

According to RejZoR SafeZone Browser shows 8 processes running even when not using the browser. I would say that is a bit much.Sorry but I don't see any process running unless the browser is running.

Despite the reported problems of access and Avast account for the fact that during the updating of the definitions does not write the date of the last update I have to say that as time scanning and protection this beta 2016 is much better than the release in 2015 and I'm trying on Windows 10I'm with you...just installed for first look and so far, I like what I see...need to go through a few things. :) Using Windows 10.
And there is the issue with Secure DNS, although I don't think that is Beta related. That's right Red, also reported by users of the stable build.

With much interest I see that even if you have Windows 10 you page appears content offline when trying to authenticate in avast account.
For developers: as an update on Build 2016?
now that has direct feedback from avast interface can report problems more easily however I have a doubt will be for the beta or final release version will be maintained this feature? I hope that the final version has this feature that can facilitate and life of the User and also the avast team :)
I really liked the new interface it is much prettier than the previous interface 2015 so we need to learn how to work in it and also have another doubt avast password will be free?Yes, Passwords feature will be free and multi-platform (Windows, iOS, Android, later Mac). There will be also premium version with some extra features, but for general usage free is fine.

About the LastPass export -> import Avast Passwords question, found another way until this gets sorted out:Clever. :)
1. LastPass in Firefox: Tools > Export > Firefox (and you have all passwords temporarily saved in the browser)
2. Avast: Settings > Import from Browser
3. optional: if you wish delete them from Firefox
4. optional: enable sync to all browsers/devices
Best regards,
FF
