Using macOS Catalina
Version 10.15.16
I installed Avast Free last week because of some Yahoo redirects I had on the Vivaldi browser.
Soon thereafter, I lost all connections using my preferred Firefox (which I've uninstalled and reinstalled), Chrome, Safari and Opera.
I was on the phone with an Applecare technician for 4 hours last night trying to figure out what was wrong.
When I mentioned I had Avast, he told me Avast was very aggressive.
He couldn't even get into my computer using Screen Share.
The tech suggested uninstalling Avast, which may restore my connections.
I went through the Uninstall process, and it would not take my Administrative credentials.
I used my Apple ID Administrator password, but it would not accept it.
I changed my Apple ID Administrative credentials to see if that would help and it will STILL not accept the new ones either.
I then registered with Avast to post on this forum and I used my Avast Username and Password to uninstall but even that didn't work.
Please help me uninstall this software so that I can get back full control of my computer.
