Avast + future Trojan shield??
« on: January 06, 2005, 12:55:29 AM »
I've been using Avast Home for some time now and like it a lot.  However, I've noticed of late some attacks by Trojans.
There are anti-Trojan programs available which can reside in the system tray and shield the system entirely.
I was planning to go for the Avast Professional, but I notice it doesn't seem to have such a resident anti-Trojan shield.
Does anyone know if Avast plans such a thing in the not too distant future so that I can keep everything 'in-house' so to speak??
Regards

As long as you have Avast's on-access scanner running, Avast will detect the trojans.

Win32:Trojan-Gen signatures appear to be very strong against trojans.
There will probably be no Trojan Shield since providers are not intended to seperate malware detection groups, but to extend functionality.
