Another HTML:Script-inf
« on: August 28, 2012, 09:26:26 PM »
I was browsing the Avast website(cant remember if it was the main website or forum) earlier today and all of a sudden, I had Internet Explorer repeatedly opening tabs by itself so I closed it down. I then searched on google to determine why this happened and clicked on a search result website which had WOT on green and Web Rep on yellow. As soon as I clicked I had a virus warning popup (my first in realtime)

Attached is the file properties of the item sent to the chest.

Fortunately I was browsing the internet in a Sandbox so promptly deleted its contents and closed the Sandbox.

I scanned my PC and there was no threat found so it looks like Avast and the Sandbox I was using both worked however I am not sure if this is a false positive and should be reported to the lab as such as I did a quick forum search and noticed that there seemed to be other cases of similar instances ?

Any comments appreciated

Andy
