At this point, I have no ideas as to what's causing it.I use Version 22.0.1229.64 beta-m without hesitation.You could try a clean install of Chrome but I don't know if that would help.Sorry.
Stop the WebRep to feel the speed of surfing!I had huge delay with the stable version and this additional protection a long time ago

Try checking the proxy settings on your chrome browser and compare it with the ones in FF and IE.
Unless you are using a Proxy setting, don't make any changes. Simply leave the default.If you can reach the internet with IE then you should also be able reach it with Chrome unless you make changes.
If I may add my two cents. Try avast GUI>Settings>Updates>Proxy Settings>Direct connection (no proxy). WebRep works fine in both Chrome and FF.
If we get enough 2cent fixes, we might even come up with a $1.00 cure.
