No - The boot-time scan is a one off function that is mainly used to get rid of stuborn viruses that are running, in memory, or the file is in one of the windows system folders and being protected by windows. By being able to run before windows gets establisted these can be removed.
The free version doesn't have a task scheduling function - that is only available with the Pro version.
