Feature request: Queued commands
« on: February 17, 2013, 01:47:18 PM »
Hello avast team and congrats on your hard work!

I have a question/request for you. I noticed that the web based, remote control of my device checks only shortly, the moment a command is given, if the device is online and then tries to forward the command. If the device is not online, it just goes into "Command timed out" and doesn't do anything until I decide to press the "Resend" button.

Shouldn't there be a push command forwarded to the google account and then passed to the device once it gets online (either by data connection OR wifi)? Furthermore, if that for some reason cannot be done, shouldn't there be a service implemented in Anti-Theft to check my avast! account for queued commands in standby or something like that, so that I won't wave to check back every few minutes if they are passed to the device and click resend?

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

At the moment the commands via web portal requires Internet connectivity.

You can send sms commands in case there is no Internet connection.
