Webshield and Streaming HTTP
« on: March 01, 2005, 04:47:26 PM »
Is it possible to exclude streaming http from applications like Fidelity's Active Trader Pro?  Seems that even with url exclusions like *.fidelity.com or ignored addresses it still seems to scan these.  Maybe the ignored addresses are not configured correctly or do not include the asp type fields added when the application calls for data.

Any help would be appreciated.

I was able to add some url's to the exception list and it seems to be working better.  Anyone know if the "ignored addresses" is a better place to put the addresses and if this place also excepts wildcards?

Used netstat -a to determine the connections as well as watch the "last scanned" field for exceptions.

Generally the * wildcard is accepted in avast's ignore/exclude addresses, the easiest way to check is try it.
