web shield and default extension help

Hi how can i setup web shield to default extension ? because it scans every files to me

but is WEBshield in vain ? umm standard shield protect me scanning created files...

vlk i use outpost should i setup avast to work with it or? i use wxp sp2

Webshield does not scan files, it scans http streams.
What you can/can't change in the webshield provider is explained in the help file.
start > programs > Avast > help

No, it can detect infection before it gets on your system and simply aborting the connection (the only option given) stops it in its tracks.

This gives further protection in depth, once on your system. Yes, standard shield may well detect the infection, but it may well be difficult to deal with. Prevention is always better than cure.
