Is WebAAS.cab genuine or buggy?!
« on: March 23, 2005, 10:09:04 PM »
Dear Forummembers that may know,

In my HijackThis log I spotted Anonymizer Anti-Spyware Scanner from http://download.zonelabscom/bin/promotions/spywaredetector/
WebAAS.cab.
What is this extra from Zonelabs, is it genuine: I netmonitor
connections to URL 208.185.174.65:443 that is cm2.zonelabs.com.

This connection is only twice on downloading the free firewall,
and later as an opt-in possibility.

Does anybody know what it actually does. Does it suck.
Is it slowing the box up, taking bandwith?
Once my firewall was taken out by a Trojan, do I have
to monitor connections on TCP port 443 or are these
connections safe. Google only found 3 hits on 208.185.174.65:443. Zonealarm in the past had other connections, and my experience with Norton's Lu comserver, better not start my nightmares again. Thank you AVAST.

Greetings,
