[Solved] Avast software updater fails to connect.

Screenshot of the error attached. Are there any specific ports avast software updater uses? I've had a similar problem with other programs and games and allowing their ports worked.

Have you tried it lately? They were having sever issues. Also What version of Avast are you using?

It's been happening for about a month and it still happens now. Using program version 8.0.1489.

Are you using Avast Free? Pro Or Internet Security? Are you using any other security? Have you tried running a repair on Avast? To run a repair go the Control Panel/Programs and Features. Click on Uninstall Avast and when it opens you will see a prompt to repair it. Try that first. If not uninstall and resinstall.
