[AVAST 2014 FREE RTM]
We all know that the new installer has been reduced in size ,it is 81Mb only instead of 120MB.
But i have noticed that the number of virus definitions has been reduced to half.. why?

I think its because there is more streaming updates.
Edit: I thought you was talking about something else.. Avast did something like this a few years back

The updates for 2014 are on a different release schedule than version 8 and are also better optimised.
