I have deactivated also the resident protection by Spyware Blaster, Microsoft Antispyware Beta and SpyBot S&D... the same result... my web settings in Firefox are Java DEACTIVATED, Java Scripts ACTIVATED, Referrers ALLOWED, Cookies ALLOWED

Could it be anything to do with disabled javascript!!!!

If you applied the temporary security patch of disabling javascript and 'allow websites to install software', etc. with firefox 1.0.4 you can restore the temp patch as it is fixed in 1.0.4.

clicking on a link to open in a new tab gave that error, however the link was 'javascript:apripopup('focus.asp?ID=2');' for a javascript pop-up window. when I simply clicked the link the javascript pop-up was ok (I have enabled it again since 1.0.4).

So I would suggest that you enable javascript again as this may be the cause.

Tried your second link and after several random selections all loaded fine.

Maybe is not the j.scripts but only the java... but when we enable java there's no difference in the safety with Iexplore (excepts for ActiveX)... :-\... ok, now I try with java enabled. Thank you.

On the website "hwupgrade" there is a clamorous conference of B. Gates: he had a critic by a ZoneAlarm developer! see the link (use the babelfish translator because is in italian) [thanks again DavidR for the link to babelfish]

I have no special configuration in firefox for web shield (no proxy settings).

Which link on that page are you getting the problem with (or is it multiple links), I have tried random links and no problems, the javascript link is the Partitioning e Multiboot.

I have tried the B Gates link on the hwupgrade page and that works fine too ???
