Help
« on: December 11, 2013, 07:00:04 PM »
Is this something I need to have installed?

When I type in mscong and look at start up it's no longer showing.

If someone would tell me whether or not I need the Emupdater installed I wouldn't think about switching.  Do you know if I need it installed?

Emupdater searchs for Bug fixes in Background, and also its sometimes used for Updates if the
normal update routine is not working.

I can recommend to keep it.

I no longer have it.  Something happened when I received the 10 Windows Updates this am..  I don't know to get it back.

Yes like Steven said is safe and I don't see any reason to have doubts about safety or any other reason. I personally don't see the reason to look for another av just for this reason, every av has his own way of updating things(virus database/program update). Since you use winpatrol and avast at the same time, you already have a strong and lite protection.
Kind regards,

I deleted Avast emupdate from strartup and I don't have any problems.
Some users also deleted emupdate .exe file from Avast folder in Program Files and they don't have any
problems. Also after clean installation of Avast there is no emupdate startup entry or file in Avast folder.

Thank you.  Guess I won't worry about not having it installed.  :)
