I could list many items Avast said they were fixing from threads that do not show up in the list but lets take a real important one....System Restore.........fixed ?
I just tested the function and am happy to say that I was able to create a restore point with Self Protection enabled.
Most importantly, I was able to restore the computer from that restore point without any problems. :)
Hope that some others will also test what I've found to confirm this fix. I ran it on a Windows 8.1 64 bit computer.

Good news ! ...........when I get a chance and not traveling I'll try on W7 64-bit.
Wish Avast would put this on release notes......think pretty important fix.  ;)
