This update came up and I installed it. It was an optional update. Does anyone here know what this update does? Name of the update means Diagnostics Tracking Service, so it tracks diagnostics service and send them to Microsoft? Is that what it means?
I hid kb3022345.

My computer is Windows 7. I didn't receive that error message or any other sorts of problems/issues.

Did you run SFC on your W7 PC and not get error ?

You've tried running sfc /scannow and didn't receive the error ???
I certainly did but didn't realize till I read this thread what caused it.
I've now uninstalled KB3022345 and hidden that update from future updates.

bob3160...you have a W7 machine and tried or from your signature just W8/W10 ?

I suspected KB3022345 to be not playing nice with my system.

I see...you have W7 64-bit...same as me.

I'm trying to follow your/mchain/staticguy posts......it looks like this KB has issue on all O/S versions ?
Wonder if MS is fixing......typically they pull and re-release known issue KB.

I noticed that Avast blocked part of the download for the May 2015 Patch Tuesday Malicious Software Removal Tool (KB890830) on POSReady 2009.  Subsequent attempts to complete the installation of KB890830 and the subsequent scan failed.  I cannot remember Avast previously blocking MS Updates.

I take it you are waiting to MS to generate fix and not using some util from the guy in the posts that "fixes" the issue ?

You've got that right. I can wait. There's nothing earth shattering that makes me install the workaround.

Installing isn't the problem if you read the previous posts.
