System Protection with its ability to make system restore points is an important tool for Windows maintenance and backup. Unfortunately, the standard way to access System Protection involves a number of steps. If you wish there was a better and quicker way to make restore points, here is a free utility that makes the whole process of creating and managing system restore points much simpler.

I have long since given up on system restore as A) it doesn't cover everything, B) you can get unexpected results (issues with avast for one) and C) it isn't 100%, sometimes a restore point won't work, so you have to choose an even earlier one.

I prefer to use drive imaging software to make a weekly exact copy of my partitions (and retain the last 6 images). I also do a daily (sometimes more frequent) backup of all volatile files, .doc, .xls, etc. etc. I also backup, emails, bookmarks, etc.

Dear tech, you're just a little late at trying to make us aware of this program.
I started using it quite a while ago, posted about it here:
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=93544.msg978997#msg978997

System restore has improved quite a bit from it's original release.
There is still no substitute to a regular backup routine. :)

I turn System Restore off and do a system backup with AOMEI Backupper after every patch Tuesday. I only keep the last one though.

I did that a long time ago. But for those unaware of this option this could be of value.

Sorry but until the very recent court ruling, this wasn't possible. :)

If You Don't Want to Appear in Google Ads, Read This: http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/if-you-dont-want-appear-google-ads-read.htm

Personally I hadn't be aware of this function, but I'm generally very wary of all social networking. Yes I have a google account, but My settings don't share anything with circles, etc. I have no one in any circles, etc. and when given the option of any opt-out privacy wise I do so. But now I have applied this also.

I feel hurt....  :(  (Just kidding)
Privacy, how much or how little, is something each of us needs to decide on our own.
In some countries, (EU) you have an actual  "right to privacy".
In other counties, (US) privacy is a joke and the NSA is the one laughing.  :'(

Sometimes it takes a log time to find out what sounds really good,
is really something that's good to avoid. More info on why this should be avoided:
