Agree with the fact that the standard CCleaner routine without the wiping functions and registry cleansing could also be taken as  a malware protective measure in itself. That was what I meant. So one I use CCleaner to cache clean my browser(s) and also use this regular cleansing to cleanse unwanted code from within the browsers as well. Just like chewing gum can help next to brushing your teeth. Can you follow my reasoning now?

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

Well if you clear you browser cache, etc. etc. etc. when you close it you don't need CCleaner for that. But it is handy for other non browser temp files, etc.

Hmmm... Why would we disable the updates?

"We" would not. There are those that don't wan to see any further requests to update to Windows 10.
This will certainly do that. When ready, you can always turn updates back on. :)

Microsoft has a habit of releasing bad updates, this tool could be used to delay an update for a week or so to see if the update was one of their bad ones or not. Many people I know using W7 or W8 will wait at least a week before installing any updates. It was stupid of MS not allowing this in W10.

OT:- I always do a manual MS windows update because it much safer, I know some people don't agree with me because I have seen MS can release bad updates by mistake and this why I never set it to automatic and I always check before installing that way it doesn't damage the OS.

What I always do I wait at least a week after MS release the update patch, that way I keep an eye out IF MS made a mistake releasing the wrong MS patch that way I don't get myself caught out.

In windows 7, my computer is set to download the updates but then let me choose when or even whether to install them. I would never completely disable Windows Update. In Windows 10, they do install automatically but all driver updates are not allowed because for some of my hardware, the older drivers are preferable. This is with the Home version too. In my 16 years of using Windows, I have never encountered a problem caused by a Windows Update or had to uninstall one.

Win Update Disabler was aimed at those using Windows 10
where bypassing updates isn't the same as in prior versions.

My Dell Laptop came without any indicator lights.
To put it bluntly, it quite often leaves me in the dark.
This little program fixed that annoyance.
The program is also light on system resources:
