Browser Extensions  101
Most of us have many extensions running in our Chrome or Chromium Based browser.
Each extension listed, deletes some of the room from the browsers address bar space.
If you have a lot of extensions, that address bar can become very small.
Starting with Chrome v76, Google offers a solution.
Chrome's new Extension Menu. Details here,

Firefox’s Test Pilot Program Returns with Firefox Private Network Beta
https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2019/09/10/firefoxs-test-pilot-program-returns-with-firefox-private-network-beta/
Sounds like a VPN similar to what's been available in the Opera browser for some time.

It is hiding my IP and my location. :)

Since I'm now using Avast Omni on all my systems, I haven't seen any of those little reminders. :)

Moving Firefox to a faster 4-week release cycle
https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2019/09/17/moving-firefox-to-a-faster-4-week-release-cycle/
Let's hope this doesn't result in an increase in bugs. We've seen this in other products.

Agreed, let's see. (But if so, one can always switch to ESR channel)

There are also many other Browsers Available besides Firefox. :)

Sure, but unfortunately only 2 major platforms - browsers are either Mozilla or Chromium based.

Personally I'm not in favour of these constant version updates and that included the Avast monthly program update.  It seems that there is this ungodly haste to constantly update (supposedly to keep up with the others doing the same.

For me it is a bad thing that there appears no period of stability (for people to get used to the current program update, features and function) in this rush to do monthly updates.

Interesting and not so nice.
https://www.ghacks.net/2019/09/25/microsoft-blocks-official-ccleaner-domain-on-its-answers-site/
Interestingly enough I have a test Win10 system here with CCleaner installed, it appears Microsoft might be pushing the blocking further than their websites as Controlled Folder Access in Defenders Ransomware blocked two CCleaner actions a couple of days ago which has never happened before.

All backend services of CCleaner are/were disabled including update checks and the program was not even open when the block actions were performed, to much suspicious behaviour from CCleaner and more recently reported damaged systems plus the bundled installer junk are some of the reasons consumers and Microsoft have had enough.

Avast took a once great little tool and ruined it ::) thankfully I've removed CCleaner off all systems I still maintain these days and replaced with a more trustworthy and safer software Cleanmgr+ https://www.getclone.app/ms-apps/cleanmgrplus
