Anyone know of this or have used it ??? ;)
TweakNow PowerPack 2009
TweakNow PowerPack is a fully-integrated suite of utilities that let you fine-tune every aspect of your computer's operating system and Web browser. The RAM Idle program manages the free memory that is available to run Windows programs. It prevents performance from degrading as you swap files and programs in and out of memory. The AutoShutdown program lets you suspend, hibernate, or shut down your computer after a specified period of time. In addition to saving resources, this program keeps your system more secure by making it unavailable to unauthorized people. The CD AutoRun is an extension of Windows' CD and DVD autorun features, giving you additional options for starting programs or listening to music.
http://www.tweaknow.com/powerPack.html and it's FREE!!

I have. Actually it's a pretty decent tweaking util. I prefer TuneUp Utilities myself but it's not free. Just be carefull with the registry cleaning and don't use the ram idle optimizer, apart from that it's all good.

File2.ws is a free website that converts any of your own files into a public online web page.
Every converted file to a web page has a unique web address so you can share it with friends,
or other people on the internet. This allows information to be shared quickly and efficiently
to a large audience.

Here are two example:

http://file2.ws/theavastgang

http://file2.ws/freeware

As you can see this is one service that can come in very handy.
You'll all probably get sick of all the times I'll be posting links to a
new creation utilizing their service.... :)  :)

For those with Vista who are annoyed by UAC but do not want to lose the security try this, I have been using it for 24 hours now with no adverse affaects - apart from the reduction of UAC prompts for programmes I use a lot

I have just found this beta programme by Norton to reduce the annoying UAC prompts in Vista.  Now you only need to answer the question once

http://www.nortonlabs.com/inthelab/uac_faq.php

Edit works now

I would not use anything from Norton and besides your link displays:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Windows 7 reduces the UAC prompts:

Opera Unite: a Web server on the Web browser

With Opera 10, we are introducing a new technology called Opera Unite, radically extending what you are able to do online.
Opera Unite harnesses the power of today's fast connections and hardware, allowing all of us to help define the future landscape of the Web,
one computer at a time. Read about how Opera Unite is going to change the way we interact on the Web on labs.opera.com.

To check out the results of using this new service, take a look at a web server I've set up:

Ive heard of this, it sounds like a great Idea. But with so many ISPs putting ridiculously low bandwidth caps on users you have to wonder how much bandwidth it will use.

Since I've run MySharedFiles for years and it's basically the same, I really haven't had any bandwidth issues.
The upload side is always the slowest so it effects those who receive files from me more than it does me.

Why spread FUD when you haven't even tried the software ? This software is written for VISTA only and it's certainly easier to just download this little util and use it than to go downloading Win 7 and having to reinstall your whole system. Besides Win 7 is still not "gold" and alot of people like myself won't go about installing it on their systems until the rtm versions go on sale. I need a 100 percent working system, don't have a need to play with beta OSes. Maybe in a virtual enviroment but certainly not on a production system.

I've been using NUAC ever since it first came out, on both x32 and x64 systems and it works like a charm. Have not had a single issue with it so far and i know of alot of other people that use this and are very satisfied. I don't like Symantec aswell, but with this little util they did a good job.

You are very lucky Bob to have Comcast as your ISP. Correct me if Im wrong but Comcast has a 250GB cap each month while others have caps as low as 5GB(Frontier DSL). My ISP is Charter and they have a 100GB cap, But I have gotten called for using as little as 25GB before.

Mac,
You're probably right. I don't know if that's a download cap or a combined cap. Most of mine is
actually upload activity.  :)

Oddly enough, if you go to Europe and you tell them about Upload/Download Caps they look at you in sort of disbelieve.
