Hi Bob,

I signed up and am on it through Prism, which is very a very convenient way, icon with a big G. It also shows that virtual computing with Linux is a nice experience even from a Windows box. Also good to have your anti-malware tools uploaded there for "in the cloud" scanning, well that is nonresident and on-demand tools,

Google to launch Chrome OS
The panaceia...
Quote
completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don't have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates. It should just work.
They're promising it to the end of this year... I can't believe it takes that quick to get a full OS working... Although, it will use a Linux kernel. Let's see what they get with GUI, graphics, drivers for accessories, etc.

Another see to believe sentence...
Quote
We hear a lot from our users and their message is clear — computers need to get better. People want to get to their email instantly, without wasting time waiting for their computers to boot and browsers to start up. They want their computers to always run as fast as when they first bought them. They want their data to be accessible to them wherever they are and not have to worry about losing their computer or forgetting to back up files. Even more importantly, they don't want to spend hours configuring their computers to work with every new piece of hardware, or have to worry about constant software updates. And any time our users have a better computing experience, Google benefits as well by having happier users who are more likely to spend time on the Internet.

Microsoft Gazelle Web Browser: Microsoft’s Answer to Google Chrome OS?

We all know Google team is working on its new OS "Google Chrome OS" which will be open source and targeted at Netbooks. It would be available in second half of 2010. Now it seems Microsoft is coming with a similar thing which is called "Gazelle" currently.

Seems that the browser will become the future OS...

LiveAndroid: LiveCD and LiveUSB for Google Android OS on PC

"LiveAndroid" is a LiveCD and LiveUSB for Google Android OS running on x86 platforms. If you want to give Google Android a try, but don't feel like buying a T-Mobile G1, LiveAndroid lets you download a LiveCD disc image of the Google Android operating system.

Very good information. Maybe we can start comparing them with avast 5 screenshots in the Evangelists' forum.
