Your welcome Scott,

yeah, at most I use 2, and I usually forget to remove them (instead of taking then out/putting them in and then I forget to take it to school...::)), which is where the 'check removable media' setting in avast! comes into play, now I never forget ;)
(although that setting is a bit cumbersome in vista...)

The program is available in most places as far as I know.
Please don't make a mess of this thread. If you can't use it or it's not available, then just pass this post by. Thanks

Autorun Eater from Old McDonlad's Farm is available:
http://oldmcdonald.wordpress.com

Speaking of making a mess USB Safely Remove totally messed my XP Pro system and the only way to recover was to FORMAT and install fresh and I even purchased it because I though it was good.
When it was installed new Flash sticks were not recognised that worked on my old XP Home system.
My problem reports are on its forum:

It's working very well for me on Windows 7.

you don't need this in Win7, the "safe remove" option can be tweaked from the device entry in device manager.

edit: yeah I saw there were a few different options in the software discussed here. I'd never use that in Windows.
