Nice..!! But I doubt 'the C64 feeling' is the same with the new hardware...
Btw, my old one is still running... :)

Mine too. :) I have however gone through quite a few PC's since I bought the C64.
They just don't make things like they used to anymore..... :'(

An interesting development for Commodore.

I still have my C64, C128, A1000, & A500. They still worked when I last used them but that has been at least 10 years ago. One of these days, I may get around to firing them up again.

If you look on their website, they make other models too. Including a souped up one with a core i7 and Nvidia 385 graphics. That one costs  $1295. The C64 clone has power comparable to a netbook. It has an Atom processor. I still have my Coleco ADAM system which actually was more advanced for the time than the C64 was.

If you consider allowing a printer to control the computer more advanced, I'd have to agree with you.
All kidding aside, It would be interesting to see how many other old timers try to make a comeback if the C64 venture succeeds.  :)

Yeah that was the design flaw that killed ADAM. Mine has a standalone power supply and uses a dot matrix printer through an addin card. Other than that, ADAM was far more advanced. It had a true plug and play OS for it's peripherals and was a lot better for gaming. You could use the Colecovision game cartridges with it and there were better games available on tapes or disks. there was a built in word processor and it also was a breeze to program for. It had expansion slots for memory and peripheral controllers including modems, hard drives, printers. It really was the most advanced computer system of it's day and it was a shame the bad decision to put the power supply inside the balky printer prevented it from being more widely accepted.
