I'm still undecided when it comes to ebooks...

I personally prefer a real paper book, always have. They are mine, I can write in them, highlight them, lend them to friends/family etc.

I think the only books that I would turn around and say yes, give me an ereader and ebooks is when my textbooks are on there, and I can do exactly the same as I do in the real thing.

That's why it's called a Chrome Experiment.  ;D

It does not work on my XP Pro system. :'(

I'll try it on my Windows 7 system.

An easy way to share files. They give you 10 Gig of free storage to use as your own.
Share files with every one or keep them private.

For sharing, I now almost exclusively use Evernote. Since they removed the filetype restrictions for free users, you can attach any filetype to a note and share the note. It is as simple as dragging and dropping the file into the note.

The only thing to watch is the upload limit, since you are allowed 60mb (free) per 30 days.

So if you wanted to upload more than that amount, a service like that would be better.

Also, Box.net has a good free deal at the moment. If you sign up via an ipod/phone then you would get 50gb of storage.
Though, there is no free desktop app, so uploading from a desktop could be awkward.

(also, you would need an ipod/phone ;))

That lets me out.  :o

I use Google Picasa

I'll try it when it comes for Windows 7 Phone.

I know, it is a little restrictive. But that is the market they (box.net) are going for at the moment

Canonical Seek To Allay Windows 8 ‘Secure Boot’ Fears

Quote
Canonical and Red Hat propose a different solution in their whitepaper, one that provides users with both the security afforded by Secure Boot, but also allows the addition of additional software and OSes – such as Linux – to the approval list.

This would, it’s hoped, allow users to run both Windows 8 and Linux, be it installed or on live media, on a PC with Secure Boot enabled.

Further still, the white paper suggests that PCs ship with a user-friendly interface for disabling/enabling secure boot altogether.
