Was reading here and about the CCleaner prompt to close browser, there is no bug for IE9. I had read this in their forum, here is the link.

Yes, I had posted there about it and simply put, CCleaner uses the built in cleaning features of IE so there is no need to close that particular browser. They claim it is impossible to implement that way in other browsers so they have to be shut down first.

Many times we face USB device related problems in Windows. These problems might be related to your USB thumb drive,
USB hard disk or USB printer. A common example of USB related problems is when Windows doesn't allow you to eject
the USB device using Safely Remove Hardware dialog box.

This Fix It checks following issues in Windows:

USB device is not recognized
USB printer device is not printing
USB storage device cannot be ejected

Most of the times these all USB device problems occur when Windows Update is configured to never update drivers.
Driver updates are not automatically installed when detected by Windows Update. Therefore, your USB device drivers may be out of date.

Download USB Fix It

I like configurations so I still have PSI 2.0. Are there any configuration settings in Secunia PSI 3.0 Beta V2?

I found this nice free utility that records your boot times. It could be useful to check the impact new software has on your system. You can choose to only have it run once or at every boot.

completely useless in Windows 7 (hell maybe even Vista) ...
this is default OS functionality (with way more info) of Event Logging system and Performance Monitor system

i suggest read this blog http://itexpertvoice.com/home/what%e2%80%99s-taking-so-long-how-to-fight-slow-startup-times-in-windows-7/#more-2490

it takes bit more thinking and work but the data gathered and result is way useful :)
