I did clean install, but all default exceptions from File System Shield are gone. They are no longer needed? And all virus test take longer time. Whole gui seems slower and when i launch Outlook 2010, it takes too much time for first start. It happens only me?  Avast Emergency update is now 8 min delayed or something is wrong with my install?  BTW is clean install better or it doesn't matter? Thanks for answers.

I find one bug. After Smart scan, when i hit notification button show results, it doesn't show me results , but execute smart test again.

Noticed that bug as well. Also on one device only the Smart Scan results are not logged although Quick Scan results are. Odd.

Streaming updates are coming continuously so no need to worry. If an engine update is needed the team will publish an update and you'll get in in 4 hours.

Hi, I installed version 17 new on a PC. Now the PC is shown as offline in my avast account.
So my question is:
How can I link my local installation to my avast account?
I didn't find any "Sign In" or "Account" settings in version 17. Is it gone?

Thanks a lot
This is known issue. The ability to connect to your Avast account will be here soon.

As the graphical interface of latest Avast version is not able to take to size  >:( it's jhust unsuable on mini-PC's with max graphical interfaces to 1024x660 px !!!

Though, where to get the installer (offline) for Avast free V 12.3.2280 ?? (in french version please) and or make the new UI resizable

N.B ... and off course impossible to validate the last restore point ...  >:( >:( >:(

EDIT: i mean to say max resolution avaible is 1024 x 600 px
Waiting for at least an answer, the best a new UI resizable !!!!

But when I clicked casually somewhere with mous, screen reader presented me UI, looks as webpage shown in Chromeum based browser.
And, its so nice for us to operate, but its not apeered instantly.
Every time I click some option, I am losing focus and need to click somewhere with mous to get working window again.

Hi, first of all thank you for your feedback. We've payed a lot attention to accessibility of the new UI. We'll test this behaviour better in the upcoming update. Hope we'll handle the focus state better, so please check this once we release the update.

The main UI scan progress is somewhat buggy in my case...had to minimize to refresh and see the real progress of the scan. But no main problems so far. :)

Did 1 yesterday. Lasted around 50 minutes. Seems so, that you have to fix s.th.!
Or simply wait.  ;D

@Ben B: Had also BSOD. I deactivated Hardware virtualization support in Troubleshooting settings, afterwards the BSOD was gone.
Screenshot is in german...

Many thanks with your suggestion I solved this sever issue. I am thinking to leave Avast; each new version it always becomes more invasive.

Regards
Bix

More invasive? It hasn't really changed much for several editions, really. As for problems, it's a new version, just released yesterday. Problems will happen when it comes to userbase as huge as 400 million users. It's impossible to make something flawless that will not conflict with anything on any out of these millions of different software and hardware configurations.

Next service fix is scheduled for tomorrow (if all goes well) and should address many compatibility issues being discussed here on forums right now.

Oh man!
Why do I need an "Improved user interface" every half year?

Please stop changing the GUI like clothes. I stay with 12.3.228 ...

We said the same and they listened ;) It's just that they were unable to make an interface change this fast to fit it into the main release. This interface design will now stick for longer. Reason behind the change is that old interface framework was outdated, too complex and not fit for service anymore. There will be further interface improvements in following months, resolving many issues like size so it'll fit on small screens as well as user friendliness and removal of unnecessarily over-complicated things and total redesign of settings panel.
