I want to again offer my sincere thanks to the family of Alice's donor for their
generosity and foresight in making all of this possible.
Without you, this would most likely have been Alice's last birthday.

Well our company left early this morning.
I've already been notified that they have all arrived safely at their home.
Now it's back to just the 2 of us till our tentative release date of 7/14/06.
Hopefully as Alice continues to gain her strength, we'll be able to get out
and take in some of the many attractions here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Alice, Keith and I took a trip on the Trolley (M-Line) today.
Keith is also a liver transplant patient and received his gift about 1 month before Alice.

Yesterday morning, we went on a four hour tour of the downtown area of Dallas.
Unfortunately, I had to take the tour alone since Alice had a bit
of an upset tummy this morning and was asked to take lots of pictures.

More than 18 people die each day waiting for an organ donor and over 90,720
are on the waiting list. Of these 90,720 people, 10% are from New York
State alone. Each year, more than 6,000 people die in the United States

As the saying goes "There's No Place Like Home" however "Home is What you make it"
enough of that. Great news for you both Alice and Bob almost like a new begining, back to the Ranch

Alice and I are now back home. We have been home since July 8th.
Alice has accomplished quite a few few things in the past few weeks.
We've had our first follow up visit with our own doctor and he was quite surprised when he first saw her. She's not the same person that left here some four month ago.
The doctor was actually elated at the progress she's made in such a short time.
Alice is now back to driving and no longer needs me as her chauffeur.
Alice is also doing the cooking again. I still help with the dishes.....
Tomorrow, she has a luncheon appointment with her bowling teammates and after lunch, she'll attempt bowling again which she's missed for the past 2 years. If all goes well tomorrow, she'll be back on her Mon. and Thur. leagues when they start up again in August.
All I can say is she's a real trooper and I'm extremely grateful for the outcome.
