I'm running Avast on my system and it works fine since years. Until today, I've never had a problem. But now.
I purchased a power charging controller who comes with a web interface (Phoenix Contact EM-CP-PP-ETH, Part Nr 2902802). Avasts Web Protection blocks access to the WebIf (coming from a local IP like 192.168.1.53 in same LAN). Switching off Avast Web Protection, the WebIf runs fine.
Having added the WebIf IP address to the exclusion list and turning web protection back on again, the site is still blocked. If I switch off Web protection, Web If is available back again.
Even adding the site to the general exclusion list doesn't help until I completely switch off the Web Protection.
Maybe this is a bug?
