All Avast shields disabled by themselves upon startup
« on: June 21, 2017, 06:46:40 PM »
Only realized when Windows Activity Center alerted me. I was browsing unprotected for hours. I had the shields on "status monitoring" but was not alerted to them being turned off. And then it was impossible to turn them on via toggling. They stayed off. Had to reboot. I did run Killswitch before I rebooted and it showed avast as 'FLS.unknown'. It never does that for Avast. Says "safe" now.

Anybody else experiencing something like this?

Repair Avast:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> Avast
2. Click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

Thank you. Is this common? Have you run into this before? What causes it and any idea about the Killswitch diagnosis?

You're welcome. (Probably just a glitch...)
