stop Avast Cleanup notification
« on: August 04, 2017, 05:00:30 PM »
Simple problem.

my subscription (purchased by accident, mind you, so there's 0 % chance I'd buy it again) to Avast Cleanup expired a week ago. For the week prior to expiration, and for the week after, I've received repeated pop-up notifications reminding me to resubscribe, interrupting me while working, gaming, etc.

Pop up notifications are turned off. Silent/Gaming mode is turned on.

What do I do?

Thank you.

I had considered this option, but I have other components installed (from the looks of it) which I neither use nor which spam me with notifications. I did not want to uninstall it hastily and either create a vulnerability or eliminate my options to stop the notifications somehow.

I'll do this now!

Unfortunately, it seems I was hasty.

Today this appeared when I started up my computer.
At right you can see that the component is uninstalled and silent/game mode is on. I can provide proof that popups are turned off as well, if needed.

You need to remove the component. It's that simple.
It sees an expired license and an installed component so you're getting the offer.
