Have you tried an Outlook repair?
Have you tried removing the plugin manually from Outlook, removing the Mail Shield and then re-installing Mail Shield again?

Yes, I tried it tens of times: on Safe mode I got in Outlook settings, turned off Avast plugin then everything works fine, Outlook 2010 starts correctly. But then I don't have any protection against harmful e-mails.

Outlook crash issue is a common one since end of December,, and as far as I see it's not resolved yet: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=212301.0

I still haven't tried uninstalling & reinstalling Avast, maybe it solves the problem. But why I have to go in so much trouble & hassle to get rid of a bug for a software that I paid for since many years and that it updates its engine automatically/manually but still has the same problem.

Bonjour,

Merci d'avance

zero message
it simply doesn't work for no reason
kernel investigation can't detect the problem
the developer can't reproduce the issue so he can't fix
this problem may be specific for some users

hi avast team,

the new update 18.2.2328 blocking standby /hibernate mode on my Win XP SP3
<snip>
[/quote

Not finding that on this desktop XP Pro SP3 system.

How are you entering Standby ?
I tend to use a ZZ key on my keyboard to have the system go to sleep, which works just fine. I have just tested it using the Start button > Turn Off Computer option and then the Stand By button and that too works just fine.
As far I'm concerned , finding it on my xp pro sp3 but I think it's rather due to a "posready" windows update .
The "stand by" icon is here like in your b7995.png but I'm stuck on the message: standby preparation
forced to turn off the computer by the "reset" button.

I don't have the "posready" hack on my system, so if it is related, I wouldn't be suffering it.

Hi
I had the annual subscription which I paid back in December.
Yesterday I just updated the app, and many of the options are stacked, and ads are back!

Looks like I have to pay another 5 euros to unlock the functions I already had.

Please check

What Avast product are you talking about (I suspect Avast Mobile App product/s) as 5 euros wouldn't cover the
Avast Pro Antivirus / Internet Security/ Premier product/s this topic is about ?

If Avast Mobile App, then try posting in the related sub-forum https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=66.0.

EDIT: Formatting

entering standby by all types possible ...like on your screenshot or by using FN +F4 (IBM machine) ...

so far I've resolved it by re-installing Avast ...hope te bug won't appear again :-)

I believe this or a recent Avast update reverted most of my settings to default.
I'll try out the next beta since I've got to reconfigure everything anyway...  :-\

If you saved your personalized settings, you can simply import them.
