Hey...I have just downloaded my Intel chipset modem driver for Linux from:
ftp://download.intel.com/design/modems/support/drivers/linux/Intel-536ep-S.tgz
It's a .tgz format file.
When I scan it with Avast!4 my system frozen!!!!
What about that?

Hmm, really...? It works normally here (avast scans 30 files inside the archive and ends)... strange...
You have Win98, right? I'll try it on other OS's tommorow...

EXCUSE ME!!!! It was a false alarm...Scanning was very slow but ok!
However, I have two hard disks and two OS, Win Xp and Linux Suse 8.0
