Additionally there seems to be no way to get rid of useless Adverts for additional Products inside AVAST anymore.
Why exactly do i have to pay for a Premium Version with Ads?
You can disable the ads in the paid versions: Avast GUI -> Settings -> Personal Privacy
Win 8.1 [x64] - Avast PremSec 21.9.6660.IBC [UI.670] - EEK - Firefox ESR 78.15 [NS/uBO/PB] - TB 91.2

I do hope the new Password Protection is optional...

Sure, you can turn it off anytime.

For those having a problem with the Firewall being turned off after the update, try this before you do a complete reinstall:

Open Avast Premium Security -> Press Menu in the Top Right -> Settings -> General -> Troubleshooting -> scroll down to Reset all settings and click on Reset to Default and reboot your PC

This is from Avast! Support, and it worked like a charm on both of my computers (PC). I tried the Repair and it didn't work, but this did. Hope it works for you!

Be safe!

after i updated my Avast Premium Security today  , rebooted my pc , then i open my Google chrome browser now it says that my "browser was manage by organization",i tried some methods online , it did by deleting the google folder in regedit policies it did fix my chrome browser but not until i restart the pc and boom it reappears again...., i did some little trial by turn off the avast web shield and it get rid the problem permanently, (but turning web shield on again will make it reappear again) so it will stay the webshield off permanently for now,  but it sucks to browse to the internet naked , pls. fix this bug or whatever it is , i was bothered when this "manage by organization" appears and it worries me so much so i had no choice but to turn off webshield just to get rid this annoying notice in my chrome browser. for now since im "naked" browsing to the web i only visit trusted sites like youtube and facebook. pls. fix this thing soon and give us explanation about this.

I second to this.
I'm getting the same thing. Please fix this asap. We won't be able to use it while web shield is disable. I'm rather troubled by it.

@NickB,
Can you then Restore your beloved saved settings Ok after doing the Reset and Restart?
(Some users have complained they lost their settings by doing a clean install)

Statistics are back after many years, but they are inferior to statistic which Avast used before. There is only some summary, we need live information what Avast doing right now. As i remember there was live statistic for each shield individually. I really dont understand why this feature was removed.

Hello. After updating avast to version 20.2.2401, he began to interfere with the work of discord.
The discord starts up normally, but at the same time I can not join the voice chat. I can write and see what others are writing.
I have already added discord to the Avast exceptions, deleted the firewall rules associated with it, so that the Avast will set them again. Nothing helps.
If I disable the avast firewall, the problem disappears. However, if I connect to voice chat with the firewall turned off and then turn it back on, the connection is interrupted.
As you understand, I can’t always sit with the firewall turned off. But I really need a discord. Especially considering that we communicate with friends only through discord.
I really hope for your help. Thank you in advance.

Windows 7 x64-bit, Discord version Stable 57177 (a2a33bd), Avast Premium Security 20.2.2401.

this version sucks exactly the same as the previous one. Disabling the shields HAS NO EFFECT. that damn behavior shield KEEPS RUNNING (and giving false positives) EVEN WITH ALL SHIELDS DISABLED. Why didn't you fix this before releasing a new version??????

Is it fixed?
Please fix it soon and give us an explanation. I don't want anybody to manage my browser. This update sucks. It's getting difficult to browse freely without enabling web shield.

Why are you deleting my comment?

I asked the obvious question and you deleted it.
Do give us an option to opt-out.  My setup is managed by me. And I don't want anybody else.

Stop posting the same thing in more than one place. It adds confusion.
